Memori Hati - Happy Birthday Humaira Ardini Hizamel

Dearest my daughter Humaira Ardini Hizamel,

I still remembered that day,

When Allah answered our pray,

‘You are carrying a baby in your womb’ the doctor says,

Whole nine months I patiently carried you in my tummy,

I talked to you all the time while you were there, you see,

You shared my joys and you shared my worry,

We were two souls in one body.

The first flutter of your movement in my tummy,

Only Allah knows, that moment made me so happy,

Abah enjoyed seeing and feeling your elbow and knee,

We laughed, we planned, and we prayed that you’ll be healthy,

Our first blossom that’s who you are, baby,

On April 1^st 2002, is the day that we’ve been waited,

Such a tiny baby you were, when we first met.

Stream of tears followed a happy moment,

The baby that we’ve been waited was in our arm finally,

We were proud young parents that day,

You are a precious gift of all, we can say.

Abah recited azan in your ears,

He too, I guess was straining his tears,

I can sense a shiver in his voice,

Full of hopes that a good muslimah and daughter will be your choice.

It’s been 8 years since that day,

You’ve grown up to be such a lovely young lady,

I hope you know that we are still those proud parents of yours,

In fact we are even more proud today,

Such an obedient daughter you’ve turned out to be,

For ummi and abah pray you’ll be an obedient muslimah, my honey bee,

There’s nothing compare to the feeling we have,

To be your parents is the great gift that Allah granted us,

Grow wise; grow graciously my little lady,

Grow to be true muslimah you’ll be.

Ummi and abah love you to the fullest,

Your sister and your brother too, for sure.

Happy 8^th birthday my darling baby,

You’ll always be my baby.
